ALOHA – to love is to be happy
Im sure you are all aware of the Hawaiian term Aloha, it has been around us for some time, we have always felt that it meant hello – or that it was a greeting ...but like I said earlier – the Huna is a feeling – never meant to be spoken and what it means is Love. Imagine in this world we live in today we were to greet everyone and everything we come into contact with, with the feeling of love, with the intent of sharing the breath of life and the spirit of happiness.
Ok, sorry getting too soppy.
Does love have to hurt, if it does then isn’t that because some expectation on one or both parts is not being met, and therefore translated as less than love. I mean to say, if you love me you would do it? Yes?
Sadly, the answer is actually no, because if you need me to do it in order for me to love you, then you are putting a condition upon that love.
And besides that, you are being selfish, and asking me to satisfy your intent and not my own.
Many years ago I did a reading for a lady whose life at the time was at a crossroads, she had married young and had two girls. 2 years after having the children her husband was badly injured in an accident and was paralysed from the neck down. She had become his carer over the next 20 years, the girls now grown and left home, still caring for her husband, she met and fell in love with one of his doctors, at this time her biggest fear was if she left, her children would not support her decision and had told her that they never wanted to see her again if she went with her new love.
I never found out what the outcome was, but I felt that somehow somewhere someone was going to be disappointed. The question is are you strong enough to disappoint another in order for you to be happy yourself?
Love increases as judgement decreases, why? Because judgement in any form weakens you. The world is love and so naturally the opposite will alienate a person and restrict your energy.
And this leads me to criticism, criticism can occur either to others or to self, you can feel it as a energy, regardless of where it is aimed, as an exercise think of something that you don’t like about yourself, and ask the question, how do I feel?, now I want you to think of something you do like about yourself, and ask yourself how do I feel? The energy of the 2 feels remarkably different.
A few years ago I was doing one of Julies retreats, up at Lendrick Lodge, at that time I bought a book called the 4 agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. Wow those 4 statements brought about so much change into my life, and I found over the years I reflected on them often. I wont post them here, but I will post a link to the site where you can read them www.toltecspirit.com/
Everything is alive, everything has chi, even a rock, so perhaps if we could see the connection to everything then we could see how much more our lives are connected in every way and every day. I suggest you look for this energy of connection and your life will expand because of it.
